International Household Moving and Turkey Destination Services

Plan household moves to and from Turkey with road transport or sea containers, export packing, loading, customs coordination and final-address delivery. Overseas moving companies can request a Turkey destination-service partnership.

Euronak plans household removals involving Europe, the United Kingdom, Asia, the Middle East and the USA. Routing and availability are confirmed for each shipment; country coverage is not a promise of daily departures, fixed transit times or automatic duty-free entry.

Send origin and destination cities, a packed-volume estimate or inventory, large-item dimensions, access details and preferred dates. Do not upload passports, identity documents or banking information in an initial public enquiry. Any required official documents should be handled through an agreed secure process with the responsible party.

Road removals to Europe and the United Kingdom

Road transport can be assessed as a dedicated vehicle or planned groupage movement, depending on volume, route and delivery requirements. Confirm whether handling or transfer points are involved, how consignments are separated and the agreed delivery window.

A UK move is not treated as an intra-EU movement. Residence-transfer requirements and personal-effects import eligibility need checking against current destination rules. Border procedures, ferry or tunnel arrangements and inspections can affect delivery. Collection and delivery dates must be agreed separately.

Sea-container moves to the USA, Asia and the Middle East

Ocean freight may suit long-distance household shipments to the USA and Asia. For Asia and the Middle East, road or ocean routing depends on the actual country, transit conditions and operational availability. A named destination alone does not establish a fixed price or transit time.

FCL allocates a container to the shipment; LCL shares an ocean movement with other eligible cargo. For smaller moves, compare consolidation handling and destination charges as well as freight. Confirm the named origin/destination, terminal costs, customs representation, applicable taxes, storage and final delivery in the written scope.

Export packing, container loading and securing

Check the assigned container’s condition, cleanliness, dryness and doors before loading. Use a numbered inventory and a loading plan that considers weight distribution, fragile items, blocking, bracing and access through the door opening. Record container and seal information with the shipment handover.

Furniture surface and corner protection, divided packing for fragile items and bespoke crating can be assessed according to need. Wooden packaging must meet applicable destination requirements, including ISPM 15 where relevant. Moisture protection depends on materials, route and storage duration; wrapping alone is not a guarantee.

Published internal volume is not the volume of furniture that will fit. Packing, irregular shapes, securing materials and safe clearances consume space. Use the reference dimensions below as a planning guide, then verify the assigned equipment and packed inventory.

Customs coordination without blanket exemption promises

Prepare numbered packages with contents and quantities, including make/model details where needed. Personal used effects, new goods and commercial cargo require the correct declarations. Batteries, aerosols, food, plants and restricted items should be screened before packing against carrier and destination rules.

Customs work is coordinated with authorised representatives. Transport coordination does not imply that Euronak holds a customs-broker licence or can guarantee clearance. Turkish residence-transfer exemptions are conditional; destination authorities decide duties, inspections and admissibility. The shipper must provide accurate information and required documents.

Turkey destination partner for overseas moving companies

Request local coordination for inbound containers, release-document handover, collection of cleared cargo, transfer to suitable vehicles when needed and delivery to the customer’s address in Turkey. Port access, release authority, customs representation, charges and responsibility boundaries must be agreed before operations begin.

Share the shipment reference, origin and Turkey destination, port if known, ETA, container type or volume, inventory and access survey. Confirm unloading, unpacking, assembly, debris removal and delivery-inventory reporting as separate scope items. Do not send customer identity documents through the initial partnership form.

If the final address is not ready, Istanbul storage can be quoted subject to availability and agreed duration. Warehouse storage does not replace terminal storage or container demurrage/detention; these are different charges. Onward domestic delivery can be planned from Istanbul to other Turkish destinations.

Written scope, insurance and delivery checks

Compare like-for-like proposals: packing, origin handling, freight, destination handling, duties, inspection charges, waiting, access restrictions and final delivery. State currency, taxes, quotation validity and the process for approving additional work.

Carrier liability and separate cargo insurance are not necessarily equivalent. Review declared value, limits, exclusions, deductibles and notification requirements. Record visible discrepancies at delivery without waiving statutory rights. Timing remains subject to carrier schedules, border procedures and safe access.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Request Turkey destination coordination, cleared-container collection, transfers and final-address delivery through the partnership form. Availability and responsibilities are confirmed for each shipment.

Container dimensions: 20 ft, 40 ft and High Cube

Reference internal dimensions, not a guaranteed loading capacity. Standard dry containers are enclosed equipment; High Cube provides extra height. Confirm the specific unit, door opening, CSC plate and route weight limits before loading.

Maersk dry-equipment reference; length × width × height. Volume is calculated from these dimensions.
ContainerLengthWidthHeightGeometric m³
20 ft Standard5.896 m2.35 m2.393 m33.16
40 ft Standard12.032 m2.35 m2.393 m67.66
40 ft High Cube12.032 m2.35 m2.697 m76.26

Usable household-goods volume is lower and depends on packing, shapes and securing. ft is the nominal equipment length in feet; m³ measures volume, not floor area (m²). Dimensions vary by manufacturer and unit.
